Abstract

Using big data analytics, this research covers all top 3C branded products sold on China's two major online stores Tmall and JD, including desktop PCs, DSCs (Digital Still Cameras), DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) cameras, digital recorders, wearables, and game consoles. The analysis was conducted on the following dimensions: brand ranking by the number of items available, branded model ranking by each category of 3C products. All those dimensions help build a massive social media database with an aim to more accurately reflect consumer needs in China.
